IILF Chennai 2024
The 37th edition of India International Leather Fair (IILF) Chennai, will be held from Feb 01-03, 2024 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, Chennai. The fair will be inaugurated on Jan 31, 2024 at 6:00 pm and will open to business visitors from Feb 01 to 03, 2024 (10 am to 6 pm).
Since its inception, the event has emerged as an ideal forum for presenting multi-facetted splendor of the Indian leather industry and is rated as the largest and best-attended leather event in the South Asian sub-continent providing value for money to both buyers and sellers across the globe
IILF will have on display the entire range of products relating to leather industry from raw material to finished products and auxiliary products such as finished leather; shoes; shoe components - uppers, soles, heels, counters, lasts; leather garments, fashion accessories, leather goods, machinery, equipment, and chemicals. IILF has all along been a vivid presentation of the leather industry. Latest expressions of the trends, styles, designs and colours in world fashion are shown.
The Fair is expected to attract a large number of participants and business visitors not only from India but from overseas also. In the last edition of the fair held in Chennai during 2023, there were more than 400 exhibitors including 61 from 16 overseas countries. 239 trade visitors from 51 countries visited the Fair in addition to 12.243 trade visitors from India. The participants’ and visitors’ feedback during IILF 2023 indicated that the objective of their participation has been attained. About 98% of the exhibitors indicated that they would participate again in the next edition.

German Pavilion
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) decides on, and supports, official participations in the Federal Republic of Germany's international trade fairs and exhibition programme. In addition to policy and budgetary issues, the active involvement in the presentation of Germany at international fairs and exhibitions is of prime importance. In a constant dialogue with private-sector partners, the division for international / national trade fairs and exhibitions of the ministry backs the export activities of German industry on international markets.
Furthermore, the "fairs and exhibitions division" is concerned with planning and implementing German participation in world expositions abroad and with major political issues regarding fairs and exhibitions in Germany.
The AUMA - Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, represents the interests of the trade fair industry on a national and international level in dealings with parliament, ministries, authorities and other organisations.
The association organises the official German trade fair programme abroad in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.
As part of this programme, the Federal Government provides financial assistance for German participations at foreign events, but also for independent presentations by German industry abroad.
